I'm not a POC myself, but I do agree on this. I think where we differ is more about the way to achieve this change than about the fact that it's necessary and overdue. I see segregation as a step backwards rather than a solution, although I'd concede that voluntary segregation is not the same thing as involuntary. The outcomes are not mutually exclusive, though, when there are many POC that don't want segregation and know they wouldn't benefit from it. And as a white person, I think segregated white communities benefit no one, especially when they're often hotbeds for racial injustice and white supremacist sympathizing.
Still, I don't think random articles and Internet commenters really make the case for how big tech is censoring Republican speech. Their willingness to censor any conservative thought is disturbing, yes, but tech companies aren't usually taking their cues from these sorts of opinion columns and I actually don't think that's in their financial interests, either. So far it looks to me like they're going after people that participated in, incited, and have defended the mob at Capitol Hill. If there's some better examples of how they're going after Republicans just for being Republican, by all means I'd like to know.
But I'd think even Republicans would appreciate drawing a distinction between "just being Republican" and showing support for what occurred on 1/6. It's not just ignoring that difference to assume that all Republicans are guilty, it's also ignoring it to confuse violent and hateful rhetoric with "just being Republican."
