What's your evidence for this? I've gone into detail in the article for why I think this is jumping to conclusions, and your remarks here fully ignore the issues around Terms of Service and other matters. Should someone be allowed to remain on these platforms even after voicing their support for these violent insurrectionist moments? Would that not be favoring one side over the others, and how will tech companies be able to enforce *any* standards for conduct (or be held liable for them) if they adopt such a broad policy of tolerance?

I'm also not so sure you really want the segregated future you say you do. It's not as easy as just choosing to live in separate parts of the country based on one's beliefs. That's already a failed experiment from the days of Jim Crow segregation. People can't help where they're born and they often can't help where they live because of economic need and other reasons. So all you'll wind up having are smaller, concentrated pools of division and disorder. Probably even a lot worse because of the repeals of protections at the federal level that would have to come out of it.
