Yes, it's ironic that this points to college campuses indeed being environments that are somewhat isolated from the rest of the country, but it's not simply about a sense of elitism as some have suggested. I'd also imagine there must be differences based on which college a person attends. I wouldn't expect those that went to Liberty University, for example, to have received all the relevant facts and education on evolutionary theory. I think the polarization we're seeing in the US requires a more complex solution than increased education.
